The Zoological Society of Bangladesh (ZSB) was established in 1972. It is the oldest scientific society in the country. Presently, the Society has more than 2,500 members. The objectives of the Society are to promote and advance the science of zoology in all its branches. The Society undertakes a wide range of activities including holding Conference National and International, seminars, symposia, annual meeting; publishes the Bangladesh Journal of Zoology Three issue April, August and December and a bangle newsletter Shankhacheel Two issue. This year, Zoological Society of Bangladesh has launched the Zoology Olympiad in Bangladesh. The objective of Zoology Olympiad is to foster interest and awareness among the students about our surrounding ecosystem, preservation of biodiversity and maintaining environment in a healthy.
